Career AccomplishmentsFormerly a 3 time entrepreneur, Dr. Gordon felt a calling to help people in a more direct, personal way. The career shift was initiated by hypnosis which came to her for a third time in 1999 with the opportunity for formal training. Dr. Gordon believes when something comes to you for a third time you must pay attention to it. She first learned about hypnosis at age 15 from a friend and again approximately 10 years later she had some informal training but didn't take any interest in it as she was engaged in her first entrepreneurial activity, V.G. Mitchell Advertising and Public Relations, the agency she started and managed for 17 years. Overlapping with the agency, she launched a second entrepreneurial real estate partnership with her late husband and continued as sole proprietor after his demise. Third was a hobby of jewelry making that became a sideline activity, As things evolved, the jewelry business morphed into Gordon Antiques. She had working assistance for daily retailing activities.
Work HistoryShe taught 2 years in Business Administration as an Adjunct University Professor at Georgetown University. She also taught Creativity Workshops for Teachers at Loyola University in Maryland. Before that, she taught Fashion Merchandising and directed the program for Patricia Stevens in Baltimore, Maryland.
