|Biography||I was born in Chicago, Illinois. In 1978 I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. I attended several colleges including the University of Chicago, then Goucher College followed by the University of Pittsburgh where I obtained a B.A. in History with an English minor. I then attended the Longy School of Music with the famous French musicologist, Nadia Boulanger, from whom I obtained a degree in Musical Composition.
