Strathmore's Roundtable Biography for
Philip A. Harding, Chairman
Philip A. Harding, Chairman | |
Biography | Phil Harding was born and brought up in non-affluent neighborhoods in New York, being the offspring of first generation American parents who believed in the importance of education. Since funding was limited, college could only be made available by hard work and scholarship. As a result, he was accepted by the Cooper Union College, an endowment of the 19th century industrialist Peter Cooper. The BSEE education, but mostly the mindset, received at this forward thinking college taught him a thought process that has been his guideline of a lengthy career. First of all, a truly ethical behavior towards others would be rewarded with honesty and open communication. Secondly, a thought process using objectivity and inductive logic would promote creativity and lead to solutions overcoming obstacles. Thirdly, a passion for the tasks at hand would be infectious and stimulate team work. |
