Biography | Leadership talents and responsibilities began at age 18 while working with 6-12 year old girls as Girls in Action (GA's) leader of a mission organization. I went on to serve as Associational Girls in Action leader for 3 years before entering nursing school. After nursing school I spent most of my career in Home Health nursing due to the one on one patient contact and quality of care it allowed you to give. I loved patient care nursing but an auto accident forced me to move to a desk position in nursing which gave me the chance to perform Medicare fraud reviews on facilities, physicians and individual case files. Later, I moved into a position with a major insurance company performing case audits, claims reviews/adjustments and authorizing procedures on a case by case basis. After leaving the nursing field I served as Children's Ministry Director - coordinating Children's Church and Wednesday night Children's ministry and all its related activities and supervisory responsibilities. Also served as Vacation Bible School Director for 8 years and was responsible for filling teaching positions and extended staff positions. Each year we took numerous photos and video then put it altogether in a DVD children and parents alike could cherish. Together with my leadership talents, I have always been very creative and had a passion for photography. Although I love modern photography and all the new technologies, what I really love most is taking an old faded/damaged photo and restoring it-giving it new life. It gives me great joy to see a person smile when they first look at a photo they thought was lost forever. I founded Best Memory Keepers to help people preserve their cherished memories and that is our mission to treat everyone's memories with loving care. Along with our specialty in photography and photo restoration, we offer heritage photo albums (multigenerational family ancestry) and memorial photo albums (highlighting the life of a deceased loved one). We also provide handmade greeting cards/invitations for all occasions. We do almost anything photo. |
