Biography | I was born in Chicago, Illinois. In 1978 I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. I attended several colleges including the University of Chicago, then Goucher College followed by the University of Pittsburgh where I obtained a B.A. in History with an English minor. I then attended the Longy School of Music with the famous French musicologist, Nadia Boulanger, from whom I obtained a degree in Musical Composition. I founded the company Maypole Books which creates and publishes children's picture books with my illustrations and animation, my rhymed verse. These books are distributed internationally. I have 10 publications, which are presently being animated for Apple's iBookstore, including my cartoon books The Cooks-and the Aliens, a humorous collection of cartoons about space aliens and humans. |
