Career Accomplishments	In 1958 she began working as a Psychiatric Aide at the New Jersey State Hospital at Ancora, with only a 6th grade education at the time. In 1959 she married and daughter Theresa was born in 1961 and son Joseph was born in 1963. On Feb. 1, 1968 she received her GED which allowed her the ability to attend nursing school and graduate as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the State of New Jersey, where she continued working until late 1973. She relocated to Williamsport, Pennsylvania in July 1974, however she was unable to obtain any work as a nurse. In the fall of 1974 she applied to, and was accepted, at the Williamsport School of Commerce. She went to school full time and worked evenings to support her two children and herself. She started her tax business in 1976 with only 5 clients. Beginning in 1981, she launched her bookkeeping/ income tax business. In 1991, 'Pats Bookkeeping Service' became fully computerized with direct filing of 25 returns. As of the 2002 tax year she has completed 667 returns, of which 624 were transmitted successfully.
