Career Accomplishments | Billie M. Thompson, Ph.D. is an educational entrepreneur practicing in the US since 1986. She was a Junior High School Teacher of English and Reading and then Director of an Arizona State-funded Consortium Project before co-founding several businesses between 1977 and 2006. Sound Listening and Learning Center®, Inc. provided individualized sound listening training programs to over 6,000 children and adults in 35 cities in the US to increase competency in one of more abilities. Sound Listening Corporation served as the US exclusive professional trainer for the Tomatis Method. After leaving the Tomatis Group in 2004, she and her husband, Dr. Kirk D. Thompson founded EnListen Corp. to enable computer-based training of a new technology capable of expanding what Dr. Tomatis developed in the Electronic Ear machine. They received two US patents for their technology. Her programs provide breakthroughs in processing competencies that change the lives of individuals and their families. |
