Career Accomplishments | Designed and built a 50,000 Line Mobile Central Office in a 40 foot Sea Land Container; Invented and built a weather proof Hybrid Cable containing power, ground, Data Transfer and alarming; Built a Centralized Over-Voltage protection unit that when connected to the Hybrid Cable provides protection, power and data transport between up to 3 tower-top mounted radios and their ground control station; Designed a seismic mounting platform for Central Office Switching equipment; Participated in the design and building of a compact cabinet and sleeves for the new Nokia Siemens Flexi-BTS; Designed an 8 hour Battery Back-Up System for Remote Cell Sites to meet the FCC-70-139 Back-Up Order-this is now augmented with a Fuel Cell application for both Remote Cell Sites and Mobile Central Office applications; Designed an anti-sway frame for Nokia Class 5 Switching Cabinets; During the 12 years with Nokia, Mr. Mathewson has designed over 90% of the Central Office External Communications cables that are used to interconnect Nokia's central office switching cabinets in which one design alone cut 20% from the basic installation Bill-of-Materials for this type of installation |
